Press conference, presentation of the 2008 concert schedule by  Zdenek Macal and Bruno Mantovani.
At 7pm, reception then concert by the Besançon Franche-Comté Orchestra who will perform Mozart's Prague Symphony. Free admittance, reservations required.

Round table "Conductor competitions and the profession of orchestra conductor" With Zdenek Macal, associated musician and Bruno Mantovani, resident composer.
This round table will be moderated by Stéphane Friedrich, musicologist.

Exhibition

The Czech photographer Jiri Vsetecka will present some of his photographs in the Proudhon hall (at the Kursaal, in Besançon) during the festival period.
The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on August 25th in the presence of the artist.
