Festival international de musique de Besançon - Franche-Comté

The 2007 edition concluded on October 5th with a concert conducted by Seiji Ozawa, winner of the young conductors competition in 1959.
Last year's festival began with a concert at the place de la Révolution with more than 24,000 people in attendance.
The festival celebrated two milestones - it's 60th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of its international young conductors competition. The festival welcomed an ever growing audience as well.
The festival will continue in 2008, organizing events in many cultural institutions of the region, and includes the extension of the residency of the composer Bruno Mantovani.
