Festival du Périgord Noir
Du 6 août au 13 septembre 2008
The 2008 edition of the Festival of Périgord Noir will be lively and insolent, orchestrated by a professional staff and volunteers. You'll be tempted by festive and unusual creations, such as "singing" the rose in the gardens of the Manoir d'Eyrignac with François René Duchâble and Alain Carré, or "breath" with music the savory and warm fragrances with the series entitled "Piano, Piano" with the pianists Dana Ciocarlie, Olivier Peyrebrune and the composer Karol Beffa who will improvise on piano for several silent cult films.
The 2008 festival will once again be the ideal spot to hear famous musicians (Brigitte Engerer, Henri Demarquette, the Trio Wanderer, Nemanja Radulovic, Magali Léger), and to learn about up and coming young professionals (Marcela Roggeri, Quatuor Illico, Laure Fabre Kahn) as well as the students from the Festival's two academies: the ancient music on under the direction of Michel Laplénie, and the Sarlat organ academy lead by Eric Lebrun.
