Les riches heures musicales de la Rotonde- Simiane

The 2008 festival theme, Musica Italiana, will draw inspiration from across the alps, from medieval Ars Nova to Vivaldi. With six concerts, the choice of music was difficult in order to encompass this period. In Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome and Naples, we will discover frottole, madrigali, toccate, concerti, passaglie, tarantelle. All the invited ensembles have international reputations: Doulce Mémoire, Vallotti, and Arpeggiatta have already performed here before, Faenza, Beatus and Astrée (Italy) are invited for the first time to Simiane.
