Of course the comfort of the seats varies with the locations: a village church cannot compare with a modern hall. The variety of stages makes the numbering of seats impossible. The doors open half an hour before the concerts. They close at the beginning of the performance until the first interval. And according to the tradition of the festival good humor is the rule, even in case of rain. The concerts of  “Saôu chante Mozart” take place in locations that as much as possible give priority both to beauty and acoustics. Consequently their capacity is limited (from 300 to 850 persons). Most concerts are sold out. It is therefore advisable to book seats in advance. The concerts take place all over the Drôme department which is very large: from the alpine plateaux of Vercors to the Tricastin Provencal hills, the travellers can discover varied landscapes. Consequently it is difficult to advise a festival-goer to stay in one single place: Nyons is located 110 km from Chabeuil. It would be best to get in touch with the tourist offices, namely with those selling tickets for the concerts. Anyway early booking is advisable as accommodations are scarce in July in tourist areas. Either rain or wind may interfere with open air performances planned in squares (Saoû) or in castle yards (Chabeuil and Suze la Rousse). The festival-goers will then be invited to withdraw to a shelter.


Housing

Les concerts se répartissent dans tout le département de la Drôme. Celui-ci est vaste : des plateaux alpestres du Vercors aux collines provençales du Tricastin, le voyageur découvre des paysages divers. Il est donc difficile de recommander au festivalier un lieu de séjour unique : Romans est à 150 Km de Suze-la -Rousse.
Le mieux est donc de se renseigner auprès des Offices du Tourisme, notamment ceux qui vendent des places pour les concerts. De toute façon, une réservation rapide est souhaitable ; les chambres deviennent rares en été dans les lieux touristiques comme la Drôme.
