Saoû chante Mozart dans la Drôme

Du 28 juin au 15 juillet 2008

Mozart travelled ten times to Germany, eight times to Munich but also to Augsburg, Frankfurt, Mannheim with the best orchestra in Europe, Dresden, Leipzig, Potsdam, Berlin and Mainz. The musical traces left by these trips are manifold, from La Finta Giardiniera to Idoménée, from the flute concerts to the Prussian Quartets, not to mention Die Zauberflöte or Die Entführung aus dem Serail written in the German language. The Festival will produce the latter together with the composers of the Golden Age, I. Fränzl, K. and J. Stamitz or J.A. Hasse. The concerts will be staged in ten villages in the Drôme. The performers are prestigious: four orchestras (one German, one Polish and two French), the Berlin Philharmonic String Quintet, the Russian Atrium Quartet, Grand Prix de Bordeaux, the Chinese Zhu Xiao-Mei and Brazilian Edson Elias pianists, the great Dutch baroque clarinettist Eric Hoeprich, the American conductors Michael-Alexander Willens and Jonathan Schiffman. “Les Solistes de Lyon Bernard Tétu“ in a Masonic music programme “In search of the Enchanted Flute”, the sopranos Ingrid Perruche, Victoire de la Musique, Elisabeth Vidal and Magali Léger, the flutist Philippe Bernold, etc.
