Rediscovered and restored thirty years ago, the Abbey of Sylvanès is today an internationally renowned center that offers major cultural, spiritual, musical, educational and artistic events:

  • training, production, and distribution initiatives in the fields of vocal music, theater, dance, visual arts, along with symposia and seminars on ecumenical and interreligious dialog;
  • Film series: "Films, Arts, Cultures and Spirituality" in May in partnership with the Le Temple movie theater in Camarès.
  • An artisitic education program and educational initiatives targeted at school children. Performances scheduled for a young audience and families scheduled throughout the regional nature park of the Grandes Causses.
  • A training center for the publishing and recording of liturgy and sacred music;
  • Cultural trips in France and abroad.

A major destination for cultural tourism in the Sud-Aveyron, it is the only abbey in the Midi-Pyrénées and Haut-Languedoc in the heart of the regionsl nature park of the Grandes Causses to offer nine months a year of diverse culturals activities and high quality hospitality in an exceptional natural  architectural setting.
