Festival de Tarentaise (musique et art baroque)

In the land of the Alps, on the Baroque routes of yesteryear, the Tarentaise festival triumphs, seduces, teaches, and enthuses with the subtil marriage of the sounds of ancient instruments with the shimmering palette of colors in Roman churches…Every musician becomes a musical angel….
The festival unites the artistic project with a cultural discovery of the region. Eyes, soul and spirit are harmoniously united by visual and aural stimulation. Performers from France and other countries come to celebrate the beauty and memory of these divine composers from the 17th and 18th centuries. In collaboration with the foundation for International Cultural Action in the Mountains, the festival proposes every year, visits of Baroque churches accompanied by a guide from "Chemins du Baroque". Explanations and lectures are on the program, in general 2-3 churches are visited in an afternoon…dinner break around 6:30pm near to the venue for the evening's concert.
At the end of the concert the festival organizes an occasion to meet the performers.
