Festival de musique ancienne et baroque de l'Abbaye de Saint-Michel-en-Thiérache

Du 8 juin au 6 juillet 2008

The 22nd edition of the Festival of Ancient and Baroque music at the abbey of St. Michael in Thiérache will offer a new series of events in its hallmark formula of Sundays filled with music performed by the very best musicians.
The 2008 schedule is comprised of twelve concerts over five consecutive Sundays, from June 8 to July 6, with two or three events per day (11:30am, 2:30pm and 4:30pm), with the possibility of enjoying lunch at 1pm and an afternoon social gathering with the musicians at 3 or 3:30pm.
The festival is an integral part of local initiatives to develop musical events in the Aisne region. It is the baroque music event in the north of France, benefiting from a prestigious venue that is perfect for this kind of repertory. The festival is once again partners with the French radio station France Musique, and has enjoyed a collaboration with Radio France since the festival was founded.
