Fêtes musicales en Touraine

Du 5 février au 6 février 2009, du 19 juin au 28 juin 2009 et du 24 novembre au 25 novembre 2009

A little over 40 years ago, a Ukraine pianist was wandering around Touraine, whereupon he stumbled on a 13th century fortified barn and immediately fell in love with it. This traveller's name was Sviatoslav Richter and the barn was called Meslay. The “Fêtes musicales en Touraine” was  born.

The 45th edition of this festival will take place from 19th to 28th June 2009. It will be the occasion to hear, amongst others, Nelson Freire, la Philharmonia Vegh directed par Andras Keller, David Fray, Boris Berezovsky, Ian Bostridge,…

Tatjana Vassiljeva will perform the suites for violincello by Bach.
