Free musical events in Vezelay

During four days, the village of Vezelay is very festive. With the magic of the music and the setting working in tandem, the streets and Borot place are the meeting points for many musical events.

11:30am - 1pm and 2:30pm to 4pm: traditional strolling music in Vezelay, from the square the the fairgrounds to the steps of the basilica.

6pm: a vocal trip full of good humor and fun, with a jazzy atmosphere...all the while sipping a glass of Vezelain wine.

Lectures and round tables

Musicologists will be giving you the keys to better understanding the concerts performed.

Lecture each day from 3 to 3:45pm, on the site of the 4pm concert.

Round table with Pierre Cao, musicologists, and performers each day from 6:30pm to 7:15pm in the narthex of the basilica before the 9pm concert.

There will be a workshop in choral conducting from August 18th to 24th, 208 with the education director Pierre Calmelet. Places for 8 participants plus 10 observers, participants must have a DE or CA in conducting. The Madrigal de Paris will be participating. Participants will be able to meet the performers and conductors of the festival.
